The archive and the source tree of the autoconf-enabled version of
Freecell Solver are considerably larger than their GNU make-based
equivalent, and the makefile that it generates is harder to modify.
My quotas at the Technion are not very large, and I don't have the time to
modify a configure-generated makefile, or call configure with obscure
paramters.
Therefore, I think I will keep autoconf out of the development
distribution, where I will use GNU make to build everything. The stable
distributions will be distributed autoconfisicated, but I personally won't
use it for every compilation. And naturally, there will be the
Makefile.lite for those who don't have GNU make.
Do everybody think it is a good idea?
