After debugging this state I found out that the problem was indeed a bug.
I had to remove only one character to get it to work (< instead of <=) and
that is in the following statement:
if (calc_max_sequence_move(0, after_junk_num_freestacks) < num_true_seqs)
{
continue;
}
This bug did not enable any false positives so I won't fix it in 2.8.x for
the while.
