Maybe this is worth ONE more post. I am only familiar with 4 other solvers
in comparison to my own. DAJ's solver can be configured to produce shorter
(which I call "better") solutions than my posted solver. The other three, and
please correct me if I'm wrong, are the solvers in FCPro. I believe the F8
solver is Shlomi's "Freecell Solver." I have made extensive comparisons
between those solvers and mine and you can easily replicate my work.
Danny (probably wisely) hasn't released his solver, nor has at least one
other person (there are probably more). If you know of other solvers that
you can get your hands on (for free) let me know. Or do the comparisons
yourself and let us all know. I do not believe my claim to be a boast, but
maybe it should be much more elaborated. Let's make a table of all the
known freely available solvers, take some benchmark games, and show
the comparisons. For the first million game numbers, my solver has been
completely tested. It gets no false negatives or intractables over the
entire range. This is the most important characteristic of a solver. If any
of the other solvers can make that claim, they should do so. I believe
these things are worth stating in a Wikipedia article. Finally, stay tuned:
I'm still working on my solver, implementing new ideas and techniques.

Easy now, or is it going be settled behind the bike sheds?
Gary, your claim is a boast. "It gives better solutions than any other solver you can get your hands on." Can you substantiate this, exactly which other solvers have you compared it with?
Shlomi, you were a little acid.
Lets all calm down and remain gentlemen/women.
