the summary of your lecture on the development of your solver. Also
helpful was your posting #579 in response to Eric Helser, in which you
compared various search strategies.
Incidentally I came across an interesting article in the scholarly
literature entitled "Breadth-first heuristic search" (Zouh and Hansen,
Artificial Intelligence, v170, 2006, pp 385-408). It discusses some
improvements that can be made to breadth-first search so it uses less
memory, and reports test results on some particular Freecell layouts.
