Well, you'll have to tell us which "solvers" they are. The most recent
Freecell Solver release is up to version 2.14.0 and Patsolve is 2.2.0 I think.
Are you using
http://www.rrhistorical.com/rrdata/Fcpro65/ by any chance? In
that case, it's not a solver for Freecell per-se, but rather a Freecell
implementation that among its features provides access to three Freecell
solving libraries. But it's more than a solver.

I think Freecell Pro has this feature. Reading from
http://www.rrhistorical.com/rrdata/Fcpro65/ :
{{{{{{{{{
Hot key: The hot key "F8" causes Freecell solver to first look for a solution
with preset #3, then with #5. If an "impossible" or "intractable" verdict
results from #3, it continues to try #5, to insure against false impossible
verdicts.
}}}}}}}}}
{{{{
Hot key: The hot key "F9" invokes Patsolve, first under mode "S", and then, if
intractable, under mode "E".
}}}}

Do you mean that you'll have an ongoing, visible (or some other type)
indication of whether the current position is solvable or not?

<mauke> I'm not interested in what you're doing; what are you trying to
achieve?
