Hi all,
I recently added the "--show-exceeded-limits" (or "-sel" for short) flag to
fc-solve. What it does is remove ambiguity in the output:
[SHELL]
shlomif[fcs]:$trunk/fc-solve/source$ pi-make-microsoft-freecell-board -t 11982 | ./fc-solve -mi 100000
I could not solve this game.
Total number of states checked is 35265.
This scan generated 35265 states.
shlomif[fcs]:$trunk/fc-solve/source$ pi-make-microsoft-freecell-board -t 9 | ./fc-solve -mi 100000
I could not solve this game.
Total number of states checked is 100000.
This scan generated 100159 states.
shlomif[fcs]:$trunk/fc-solve/source$ pi-make-microsoft-freecell-board -t 11982 | ./fc-solve -sel -mi 100000
I could not solve this game.
Total number of states checked is 35265.
This scan generated 35265 states.
shlomif[fcs]:$trunk/fc-solve/source$ pi-make-microsoft-freecell-board -t 9 | ./fc-solve -sel -mi 100000
Iterations count exceeded.
Total number of states checked is 100000.
This scan generated 100159 states.
shlomif[fcs]:$trunk/fc-solve/source$
[/SHELL]
As one can see with "-sel" on the initial line of report if the iterations were
exceeded is different, which removes ambiguity.
This flag will be part of freecell-solver-3.12.0.
Regards,
Shlomi Fish
