I doubt if more that a few members in this Yahoo Group would be interested
in as involved a topic as you propose. I suggest that you contact the
Group's coordinator -- Shlomi Fish -- before continuing.

I believe that most experienced FreeCell players and software developers
have moved on to other interests.

That said ...

I have written several FreeCell solvers in the past few years. I'm currently
in the process of analyzing the solutions my solvers have produced. In
particular, detecting elusive redundant moves.

My primary MS FreeCell 8x4 solver has solved deals out to 25M.

My primary MS FreeCell 8x0 solver has solved deals out to 10M.

I've also written specialty solvers to provide Michael Keller with
statistics on solving non-eight column scenarios ... as well as scenarios
with move restrictions. MK recently created a new web site --
solitairelaboratory.com -- and updated a lot of information he'd transferred
from his previous site.

I have experience with what works ... and tons more experience with what
doesn't.

It would be nice to discuss FreeCell with someone!

Although I use "FreeCellPro" all the time to play freecell, I'm more
interested in discussing freecell solving programs with people who have
actually written a solver.

Anyone who is interested in exchanging (or monitoring) information on
this subject, please send an email to me.

I would hope that not too many people have written a solver, but that
anyone that has would join this exchange [even past masters, and even
if only to observe].

I would like to discuss programming successes, failures, designs, and
anything else that might help us improve our own programs.
